Let Your Healing Begin…
Who I Am
I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in Washington, Nevada, and Georgia. I have been practicing for over 12 years. I specialize in clients who have experienced trauma. I also work with teenagers experiencing anxiety and depression. I am trained in EMDR and Restoration Therapy.
Research is clear: the most important aspect of therapy in determining the likelihood of clients reaching their goals is the therapeutic relationship. If you do not feel like you are beginning to trust me after 2 or 3 sessions, I will help you find another therapist.
That being said, I work hard to earn your trust so that you feel comfortable sharing all parts of yourself. This is something that I am naturally gifted at. I create a unique non-judgmental space where you feel safe to talk about even the hardest things.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Restoration Therapy and those are my typical go-to theories for the work that I do.
I encourage clients to participate in every part of the planning of therapy, including goals setting, establishing a timeline, and deciding which strategies to use. You will be an active part of the process.
I will laugh with you, maybe even cry with you. I will help you to see the truth about who you are, your worth, and your identity. I will sit in the pit with you and help lead you out. You don't have to be alone in your jouney. I'd consider it an honor if you let me walk with you for this season, rewrite some of your story, and propel you toward your next chapter.
Most of all, I instill hope in my clients that things can and will get better.
